Is de-prioritization on 5G the same as on 4G?

I have a 4G phone on the Visible plan, and de-prioritization is severe during the day, when I get download speeds less than 1 Mbps. It improves in the evening, when I get 3 Mbps, and after midnight, it can be as fast as 15 Mbps. I wonder if I can expect a faster internet connection during the day if I use a 5G phone.

I cannot comment on de-prioritization speeds directly but feedback I have received from a co-worker is 5G is faster on most all accounts than 4G speed.  The only noted issue is weak signal on 5g is slower than full signal on 4G so they wished it would switch to 4G sooner in those cases...

All depends on how they have their algorithm written.  If they have it as an absolute then it would not matter, if tower is above 80% usage, then max speed is X.  If they have it written as a percentage of max speed, then speeds should be faster seeing how 5G is faster.  If 80% usage of tower, reduce max speed by 50%.

Someone with direct knowledge would have to comment on it.

I'm interested to know if anyone has experience that indicates 5G on Visible is faster than 4G.
