Payoff of Existing Device Transfer

When I ported my number over from Verizon Wireless, I brought my own phone, and there was a balance owed that now appears to be due in full. So, I brought my own phone to the party but apparently that didn't include the balance owed ... is this correct, or did I miss something in the transfer?

That's correct. While it's Visible by Verizon, Visible is a separate business entity and MVNO. As a budget offering, Visible doesn't have any promos to pay off phones from Verizon (or anyone else). All you get for BYOD is the ability to port your number over. You still owe Verizon the balance of the phone.
