Accessing voice mail

Am I supposed to use the Phone app that came with my android phone or a visable phone app?  If I use the Android Phone app, how do I enter upper and lower case Letters in my password?  It apparently takes too long to enter the long password.

There shouldn't be a password to enter but may have a PIN number though if you set one up. Open the phone app and hold the number one button or dial *86 and you should get a prompt to set it up. Below is a what I copied from the help page at Visible.

To enable voicemail on Visible, you can press and hold 1 or dial *86 and follow the prompts to create a password, record a greeting, and record your name. Alternatively, for iOS devices, open the Phone app, navigate to Voicemail, tap Set Up, enter a password, record a greeting, and save the changes. For Android devices, you can use the basic voicemail option by opening the Phone app and accessing the dial pad, or install a visual voicemail application from the app store. If you experience voicemail issues, such as being asked for your mailbox number or a full voicemail box despite deleting messages, log into your Visible account, select "Network or Device Issues" in the "How can we help you?" dropdown, type "problems with voicemail," and follow the prompts. You can also temporarily disable voicemail by setting up call forwarding. Visible offers basic and advanced visual voicemail; basic voicemail is available for all devices, while advanced visual voicemail (VVM) is only available for Apple users.

  • Enable Voicemail:

    • Press and hold 1 or dial *86, follow prompts to set up password and greeting.
    • iOS: Open Phone app, navigate to Voicemail, tap Set Up, enter password, record greeting, save changes.
    • Android: Use basic voicemail option via Phone app dial pad, or install visual voicemail app.
  • Troubleshooting Voicemail:

    • If prompted for mailbox number or voicemail is full despite deleting messages:
      • Log into Visible account.
      • Select "Network or Device Issues" in "How can we help you?" dropdown.
      • Type "problems with voicemail" and follow prompts.
    • Temporarily disable voicemail by setting up call forwarding.
  • Voicemail Types:

    • Basic voicemail: Available for all devices, stores 20 messages, 3-minute message duration.
    • Visual voicemail: Available for Android and iOS, stores 40 messages, 3-minute message duration, includes transcription (first 45 seconds) on iPhones with iOS 10 or later.
    • Advanced visual voicemail (VVM): Only available for Apple users.
  • Accessing Voicemail from Another Phone:

    • Call your number from another line.
    • Press # when voicemail message begins.
    • Input your voicemail password to access inbox.
  • Saving Voicemails:

    • Voicemails are stored in the cloud; switching devices doesn't change inbox contents (as long as Visible is your carrier).
    • Save voicemails before troubleshooting or changing service/carrier to avoid losing them. For iOS, open the Phone app. For Android, open the Voicemail app, select the message, and tap "Send to" to choose an option like text, email, or Google Drive.
