Activation issue

Purchased a new phone and chose a new number. No porting of old number involved. Should have been a simple process, but I still do not have a working phone, though they immediately charged my credit card. They keep telling me that they are working on it and it will be resolved in 4-24 hours, but it has been 2 days. If I need to have a new phone to fix this, then please send it and I will return this one. Please help.
