Android: No Calls Or SMS after switching SIMs

Hi,   I can't make calls or SMS with my original pSIM.

 I travelled internationally with an eSIM for 10 days, and deleted the new eSIM when I returned.  Now the Visible pSIM shows up in Android settings, but under "Calls and SMS" it's greyed out.  The chatbot says to download the Visible eSim, but when I try that, it says my phone doesn't support eSIMs, even though I was using an eSIM a few days ago...

pSIM or eSIM. Only one can be active at a time. Simply deleting eSIM doesn’t mean it automatically switches over to pSIM.

pSIM = physical sim card

eSIM = electronic sim card
