Buying a New Phone and Service

HI .. I am new to Visible and wanted to transfer from T-Mobile to take advantage of the savings.  When you try to purchase a new phone you select a plan but it doesn't allow you anywhere to choose to activate at a later date.  You step through the entire process of asking for your #, carrier, account # transfer pin and then the the next says as soon as you select continue the process will start and they will cancel the number for you with your old carrier. 

It appears to me is that as soon as you hit continue you will lose your current carrier and when your new phone arrives it will have your old  number?  It doesn't seem like a very clear process.  I decided to stay with T-Mobile and avoid the possible headache

I looked up the promo you mentioned- nice! I recommend if you're getting a new phone for Visible anyway, place your order and set up your account with a fresh number while you still have ample days/weeks on your old carrier.  After your phone and SIM are activated and you're fully satisfied with Visible,  contact chat support at that time to port-in your number. 

Support had no issue doing this for me,  so I suspect you'll be given the same courtesy. Meanwhile,  it would let you compare both services side-by-side and/or use your old carrier's forwarding service to send your calls and txts to your new phone.  I did this sort of pre-port test run for 3 weeks,  and I wish you the best with your decision.
