Can I Pay Using a Foreign-Issued American Express Card?

Hello Visible Community,

I'm an incoming international student entering the U.S. this fall and intend to sign up for a Visible plan. I'd appreciate it if you could confirm if I can pay with a foreign-issued American Express card (not issued in the United States).

Any other payment methods that are usable for tourists without an American bank account?

Foreign credit cards are not accepted at Visible because the card is not tied to an American address. If you are on Reddit find the Visible page and ask this question, there is more traffic on that page and someone will be able to answer that question. There was mention of using a credit type gift card you load with money at Walmart but I don't know which ones are acceptable. Someone on Visible's Reddit page might be able to answer which card works as payment.

You might run into other issues. First one being your phone, it is likely you won't be able to use Visible because the IMEI number needs to pass compatibility checker during the checkout process. Besides the compatibility thing it depends on whether your phone can receive the proper Verizon cellular bands to even operate on the Visible network. Another issue is, even though Visible is all done online including payments, and no bills are sent, you still need to use a valid US address that is registered to the Postal Service to receive mail, basically a valid delivery address.
