As of several weeks go, sending email to <mynumber>@vzwpix.com had been working great from both my home systems and from work servers, which use very different MTAs. Then it stopped suddenly from home, but from work systems has remained solid. Working with my personal MTA smtp provider, we found that the failures are getting rejected on the Verizon end, with their server response like this (much edited for brevity):
