Need to make changes my plan for international travel. Get the message when attempting to start the iPhone app for the last 3 days.
“Looks like you may be having difficulty getting started right now. You can attempt to retry.”
Clicked the “retry” button a few times. No good.
Not sure when it last worked. Couple months since last used.
Can still make phone calls and create messages.
Uninstalled, restarted iPhone and reinstalled app 3 times.
iPhone 16 pro. iOS version 18.7.2 (latest as of 11/24/25)
Visible app version 5.5.6.
What does this message mean and how do I resolve it?

Have you tried signing into your account on a computer and then make the changes.
As for the app the only thing I can think of to see if it needs updating or the other thing is to uninstall it and reinstall and see if that fixes it.

Looks like I had a VPN turned on. Thought it was off. Turning theVPN off fixed it for me.
