Hot, Battery Draining Phone

I would appreciate any help to address why joining Visible has turned my perfectly good cell phone into a literal hot mess.  I have done all the things - connected to WIFI, turned off roaming, changed the display settings, performed both soft and hard restarts, etc. - that I have found both here and online.

I chose Visible because I had Verizon, so I should get the same 5G coverage, right?  So what accounts for the fact that my phone, which could go up to 2 days betweeen charging, now can't hold a charge for more than 10 hours?  And why is it sometimes hot to the touch?

Thank you in advance for instructions, advice, and recommendations.

While coverage is identical, band selection algorithms are often different. Frequent automatic switching between 5G and LTE has been observed to cause some phones to heat up with excessive batter consumption, particularly in  poor 5G coverage areas as the phone struggles to maintain one or the other connection. Observe whether your frequently switching between 5G and LTE.

Some folks avoid the issue by turning off 5G if the phone permits it.

I have had the same issue on my Samung S21 until recently when the Visible 5G signal was upgraded in my area and I maintain a solid 5G signal. Unfortunately, many Samsung models don't support disabling 5G.

Just a guess on my part.
