I haven't yet cancelled my service with my original provider as I am waiting until my old number transfers over. I have a primary and secondary line because of this, the secondary being the number Visible assigned me when I activated my service. Out of curiosity I texted the number I was assigned and sure enough someone else replied. I have now gotten a few of this person's phone calls at my Visible number, some of which are escorts they have hired. How is it possible for Visible to assign me a number that is in use by someone else?

While previously assigned numbers are supposed to be out of use for a period of time, the callers may nit know the number has gone to another person. I had a similar situation (different carrier) last time I got a “new” number. The person who had that number before me had a lot of friends and I got some calls, but mainly lots of texts. I ended up just dropping that line. I hate to say this, but you need to chat with a Visible rep to see what they can do to address the problem. You can also send them a message through Facebook Messenger or Twitter. Good luck!

A representative was able to get my old number transferred over today thankfully. The person I was sharing a number with hired a few women from an escort service so the calls and texts were interesting to say the least.
