I can send text but

Very similar to this post:

I can receive but can not SEND any TEXT!

However mine has an extra glitch which will cause me to switch asap to another carrier if not resolved this weekend.

I can send text from my new completely compatible phone but only receive a few texts from others. AND even though my old phone has no service (I called to confirm it was off), I can receive the messages, that my new phone with my new visible service cannot.  Go figure that one...

Any idea?  I tried the autodialing idea but so far not working. And btw it was much harder to locate than the steps listed for jakid. Different phone, different steps.

Does the new phone also have the old carrier on it? If so delete it from the phone if it is an eSIM, that may cause the issue. Another thing to try is to text HELP to 67777, after the reply text TRANSACT to 67777, this was something Visible had me do when I had issues with tests a couple years ago, not sure if it will help in your case. If you still have issues try contacting customer service, this is a peer to peer forum and can only suggest what to try. It may be an issue with your SIM and may need to fixed at Visible.

Ty.  Old phone was at&t iphone, new phone is samsung.  I am getting text from android phones after I did what you suggested but not a single text from anything apple.  Those are still going to my old phone via wifi.   I supposed Im half way there...  Goofiest thing I've ever heard off

Since you mentioned Samsung what text messaging app are you using? If it is the Samsung Message app Samsung no longer supports it and I am not sure if RCS chats works any longer on that app. Since you mention not receiving messages from iPhone users it could possibly be your messaging app not receiving RCS chats if you are using the Samsung messages app or another app besides Google messages. Google messages is the only app that I know that has RCS messaging. If you are using Google Messages app open that texting app, click the little round circle that should have your first initial in it, click message settings, click RCS chats, make sure the toggle next to Turn on RCS chats is on.

I personally use and prefer Google Messages as that is what I have had for the last 3 years on another phone. When I switched to Samsung it was a good message app but wanted to keep what I was using. Samsung announced last fall sometime it was no longer supporting their app and the S25 series, and their A series phones later this year, will all have Google messages installed. Since it is no longer supported I have no clue what still works on it and RCS may not work. If switching apps doesn't solve the issue then maybe contact customer service to see if they can help.

They finally figure out the apple issue.  I had to turn on my old iphone and sign off my apple accounts from my number as well as my email.  The other issue work from your input, thanks so much.

You're welcome! Glad I could be of help and that you got it fixed.
