I saw advertisement by Visible for a 15 day free trial of the service? Signed up on Jan 6th (today is 9th) and have already been charged the monthly fee. What happened to the free trial promotion???

Did you happen to request a physical SIM card? If so Visible only does eSIM for the free trial. If it was eSIM it sounds like you requested a month service instead of the free trial. The free trial should not have asked for a credit card or any form of payment from my understanding.

Thank you for the quick reply. I do see where it says that the free trial is for eSIM on the website, but going through the process of seeing if I would qualify, I don't recall getting that option to select/use that?
I can't verify that at this time, as I only have one phone currently with Visible. I find it a little disconcerting this is not clearly defined in the process.
I do appreciate you answering my question.

Hello,
The same thing happened to me. I attempted to sign up for a free trial with an esim. I followed the steps and verified that my phone was eligible. Instead I was sent a physical sim card. I was prompted to enter payment information. I chose to activate the new number, nervous that in fact I was not going to get the free trial. Do I have any recourse?

You're welcome!
Yeah, Visible doesn't make a lot of things clear on there website without doing a little digging. To get the information for a lot of things is to check out the help section. On the trial page you would have needed to scroll down to the frequently asked question and most of it is explained. Not sure why Visible can't give that information on the main section.
My pleasure to try and help others here. Just a customer myself and do like Visible for the price and what they offer.

Hi,
The same thing happened to me. I attempted to sign up for a free trial with an esim. I verified that my phone qualified. However, I was prompted to enter my credit card number, which nervously I did. I suspected something was wrong. Today I received a physical sim card. Still suspicious I activated it. I now have a payment scheduled.
Do I have any recourse? My goal was a 15 day free trial with an esim.
Thank you,
Marc

No, there is no recourse once the card was activated there is no going back. Activating the card triggers payment and since Visible is prepaid they have a no refund policy. I don't think it will help to contact Visible to see about a refund. If you had not activated the card you would not have been charged.
At some point when you signed up you must have made an error selecting a SIM to be sent to you. As far as I know the free trial should have never have asked you for a credit card, I am unsure of that though since I never did the free trial.
If you decided not to use Visible after the month is up make sure autopay is off and just let the account lapse. I am just a customer myself so if you have any other questions I can try to answer them otherwise your best bet is to contact Visible support.

I asked about this and in addition to using an eSim (my phone can't) you have to take a generic phone number fron visible. You can port in your number once you know it's working and want to keep the account. I might actually take the generic ## to start the service so I don't have to cancel my current account until I know this will work.

Time for a Class Action Lawsuit. Clearly advertised "no credit card required to get free trial". Flagrant BS on Verizon. I was about to sign up (even had my new phone number assigned) when, at the last minute, Verizon pulled the credit card scam.
Now, with this forum, seeing it is a widespread, intentional, and deceptive procedure by Verizon, I'll pass on having them as my cell carrier.
