My sister just upgraded to the "new faster" network this week. Her phone is 4g/lte phone, not 5g. She used to get like 15 to 20 mbps speed, but after the new sim was activated, her speeds are about 2 mbps down and .5 mbps up. Horrible! Can anyone suggest something that will actually work? She's restarted the phone several times, gone in and out of airplane mode too. Help!!!

She can try to do a network reset and see if that works. This will also reset the hotspot name and password so don't forget to have her change it back or devices won't connect. If that doesn't work she can contact customer service and have them do a re-provision to the SIM and see if that fixes it.

The network reset worked! She's now getting normal lte speeds for her area. And NO, her phone isn't on the IMEI approved device list. And yes, it works fine in spite of that. Thanks Skibik!

Glad to hear she got it working, that's great and glad to have helped. The reset doesn't always work but if you contact customer service that is one of the first steps they ask you to do.
The compatibility list isn't exactly up to date like it should be. I think the reason @GreenSub mentioned it is because some phone that are not compatible will work but will have minor issues and some will work without issues.
