List of Contact to Visible

I am currently a Verizon customer looking to change to Visible. Chat offered no help. How do I transfer my contacts so I do not lose them?
Any help is appreciated. TIA

@Encorecac You don't say if you are on Apple or Android. Here is how to do it with Android:

If you are using Android and reusing the same phone, the contacts will stay with the phone, just install and activate the new SIM. If a new phone the setup process will give you the options to transfer all contacts and apps.

Hi Superuser, Thank  you for taking the time to respond. Most appreciated.

I have an Apple and will be using the same phone. In messaging with Visible I could not get an answer re contacts. In reading and with your response seems contacts stay on the phone and are not stored on the sim card. Did not want to loose 2000 contacts, so thank you for clarifying.
