My Visible number has been marked spam??

Hello all - I hope this is the right place to ask. I was just told by someone I was trying to call that my Visible phone number is appearing on their end as "Suspected spam", or "Spam likely."

Is there any way to verify my phone number so this doesn't happen? I use this phone to contact coworkers and clients, and I know it's not a good look to have a "spammy" phone number. Any ideas?

I don't think there is much you can do. If the person adds you to his contact list it will show them who is calling the next time. I think it also depends on how the persons phone is set up as far as flagging spam, I think my Samsung phone has a spam filter but I don't think I have it turned on. It could also depend if the carrier they are on has a spam filter that the person uses and maybe has it set to high. Visible does have this feature for incoming calls and it can be set to 3 different levels I believe.

Yeah that makes sense. I do make a fair amount of outbound calls, but almost always to phone who are expecting a call from me. I guess it just takes time? I wasn't sure if Visible had a way to "register" my phone number with other carriers to let them know like hey this is a real person, not a robo-caller, etc.

I am not at all tech savvy so I am not sure how the spam system works. Even the caller ID system doesn't work like I thought it would when it comes to sell phones. I had my caller ID changed after I first started with Visible in 2021, if I call a landline caller ID works. If I call a cell phone that doesn't have me in their contact list I think most phones just show my number as far as I know.

It will likely show wireless caller and that may be why it might show your number as spam if dialing a new number. If it shows wireless caller Visible no longer has an agent that knows how to put in a fix ticket to CNAM to change it. They have been telling everyone on Visible's Reddit page that Visible doesn't offer custom caller ID which makes no sense. Here is the goofy part, if your caller ID doesn't show the correct name they can change it to wireless caller, go figure. There are work arounds for the caller ID, one supposedly is on Android phones if you add a name in your Google account under personal information, name option, it is supposed to display that for caller ID, not sure if this works or not.

What a weird issue - I'm using an iPhone on Visible's network. I thought for sure the other carriers wouldn't flag me as spam?? I'm not a VOIP number for goodness sake!
