Out of the blue can't make or receive calls - "Calling restrictions." "Announcement 803"

Just started today that I can't make or receive calls due to an error message recording: "The number you have dialed has calling restrictions. Announcement 803." I can see calls come in, but they either disconnect immediately or this message plays. My wife and I can text since we're on WiFi and we can FaceTime since we have iPhones. I have the e-sim and she has a physical sim. Both on the updated network. Waiting in the support queue.

Looked at a lot of settings (make sure cellular is on, contacts aren't blocked) and tried a lot of things (turn off and on phone, turn off and on airplane mode, reset network) with no luck.

Support had to reset my account or something on the backend while my phone was off. I'll try to avoid the extended process for fixing my wife's phone. *fingers crossed*

Hi! I know how obnoxious this problem is I had it myself as with all technology these days, every company will have its bugs and issues. First, don't do anything drastic like re-install your eSIM. Simply enter the waiting line for Visible's live chat it will take some time to be connected with an agent but there's no getting past that. Simply ask them to re-provision your network (Basically a network refresh) and then restart your phone when the representative is finished. Also do not be discussing with your agent over the same cellular device that is experiencing the issue. Hope this works! It did for me about three times now so it is near fault proof!

The problem was just with my phone as we discovered after mine was fixed. My wife psim was able to make and receive calls. Maybe was a problem with my esim? Unsure, but marking solution.

I am having the same problem now... what is the solution? I have an iphone 14 pro on iOS 16.1, and have tried toggling airplane mode, soft resetting, network resetting, and on and on. Chat support had me redownload my eSim twice, and still no luck. What gives?

I too am having this problem and not solved after 4 hours trouble shooting on own and with visible chat ...  been escalated and awaiting an email - lost a day of productivity and incredibly uncomfortable with what Im reading here that the previous person said asking them to "reprovision the network" worked 3 times!  I don't have a second phone ...

I am also having this problem and have spent over 4 hours trouble shooting on my own and twice with the chat folks only to get escalated to a specialist where I now get to wait for an e-mail and from previous posts here, I'll walk through all the same things.    Like many of us these days, this is my only phone for both personal and work and has been a MAJOR hit today and now I don't know for how long.  I am concerned with the solution above saying to request a "reprovision of the network" and it worked all 3 times!   I'll go down the path but I can't afford to not be able to make or receive calls ....  I'll share if I get any new news ๐Ÿ˜ž

I had this issue after updating to iOS 16. Reprovisioned the SIM over live chat using the app, and now it works fine. So that's what I'd recommend first.
