Overseas and things wont work

I activated Global Pass before heading on my trip.  I even got a text from visibile recognizing that I was outside the US. After a bunch of things, including chatting with an agent, my phone works only for calls.  I cannot text or use any apps, like Uber, and no internet searches.  I’ve tried a huge variety of things.  I have an iPhone12.  Many of the suggestions talk about turning on “roaming” but I don’t see that anywhere.  My son is with me and he is frustrated too.  Any help is greatly appreciated as I cruise around europe.  Thanks

For iPhone, you turn on Roaming in the Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular Data Options section.

It sounds like you don’t have access to a cellular data plan wherever you are.  If your phone works it means your voice service is allowed to roam.  That “should” also allow SMS/RCS text messaging to work as well.  See my suggestion above to turn on roaming for the Data service.

On my iphone 15, the Data Roaming option is in a different place.  After trouble shooting with support for a while, I found that mine is under Settings>Cellular>eSIMs>Primary, and then Data Roaming is an on/off toggle.

Oddly my wife has the same phone and same Visible plan, and it's in the place that everyone else seems to reference (Settings>Cellular).  Hope this helps others!
