Porting phone number

I just set up porting of my Verizon phone number to Visible. They are mailing me a Visible SIM. Will my Verizon line stay active until I complete the activation of the new SIM?

Yes. As long as you keep your service active at Verizon. Do not cancel Verizon before activating on Visible, from my understanding the port will cancel your service at Verizon. I never done a port but you will get assigned a temporary number that you will activate service on before you can complete the port.
