Is that a common problem? Is there a fix for that, or just no signal when in certain buildings.

Yes, if you already have a weak signal outside the building you can lose complete signal inside. Cell signals don't penetrate buildings very well.

This is common for most cellular operators. If this is your office or your home. Or a place where you spend most of your time. If that particular place has WiFi then enable "WiFi calling feature" under your mobile phone settings, this will route your calls and texts through internet, instead of relying the cellular towers.
