Voicemail delayed_visual voicemail disappeared

Novice

I have had Visible for years in various androids. Been using my Google pixel 8A for 1 year.

all of a sudden with the last System updates - first my voicemail box was missing. Visible couldn't do anything and then resolution team to work on.  Voice mails back but still not my visual voicemail.

I can call into my mailbox to retrieve messages but not even a symbol to show me I have a voicemail there. Have to guess if I have a missed call.  I have since been on customer service 2 more times and spent about 5 hours again trying to resolve. but not yet.

My family members have pixel 6A still have their visual voicemail - but when someone leaves a message, it takes a day to see that they have one post as a message.

Cannot seem to resolve this ??

Very frustrating because I depend on it for business and personal

Not sure what is going on with Pixel. I just got a 9A about 2 weeks ago, visual voicemail was working then I noticed one day late last week I checked again after someone on Reddit mentioned the Pixel's visual voicemail stopped working and mine was off and greyed out and couldn't be turned on. I thought I got it fixed by going into settings, apps, phone, click on force stop, then go to storage and cache and clear cache and storage. I then went back into the phone app and was able to turn it on again, I am sure it didn't say anything about not active. I rarely get phone calls and today I got a call but couldn't answer and I didn't think they left a message but after seeing this post I checked and sure enough I have a voicemail when calling it but nothing on my phones app. I cycled through what I suggested and now it shows activating voicemail and greyed out shows Change PIN, Visual voicemail is not activated yet, please try again later.

I will keep an eye on this post if you find a solution. I will also post if I find a different solution.

Edit: I should have mentioned that when I phone settings when voicemail was greyed out I didn't even have a voicemail tab on the phone app. My suggestion above got my voicemail tab back but as mentioned it may not have been active since I don't recall seeing it saying not active.

good luck - my visual voicemail is still missing and everything I've read says to contact Visible -but that hasn't helped at all

On Visible's Reddit page someone mentioned yeaterday they were Visible and his wife is on T-Mobile and both lost VM notifications. This makes me think it was the July update to Android 16. There was also mention on GooglePixel subreddit that a T-Mobile user also lost VM notifications. So, this isn't just happening with Visible.

I did contact Visible after I didn't get a notification Monday. They did provision my voicemail, it was saying "voicemail activating" under the on/off toggle but that finally disappeared yesterday. I can't say for sure it is fixed, I'll have to get a brother to leave a test message to see if it is working but I doubt it. I think Google needs to fix this issue. I am thinking until it is fixed I should download a voicemail app.

I have been able to get notifications working again but VVM is not listing a message to play, I still have to call in to get the message.

If you still aren't getting notification at least try this. Settings, apps, phone, force stop, then clear cache and storage. Open phone app, settings, voicemail. If it says "activating voicemail" and below that there is a greyed out section about changing PIN, below that should be an option to change PIN, if not call your VM and go through settings option on their and change your PIN. Once changed you should get a text and check phone app again and see if VM actually activated. You can now change your PIN back and there should be an option to do that below the VM toggle so you can do it right from the phone app. I did let a spam call go to VM this morning and I did get a notification that a message was left, as mentioned above it doesn't show up on the VVM list to play the message but it give a little 1 on the VM tab. It still sucks that a person has to call in but at least I have notification again. I don't know if this VVM issue is with Google phone app or with Visible themselves.
