best way to stay on plan and replace broken phone?

crushed my phone today. screen bad, but I can hear it and feel haptics

just want to replace like with like (Google Pixel 7) or similar quickly

am i better off going to WalMart or Best Buy or similar and buying cheap off-the-shelf unlocked phone and registering it with Visible or buying new phone (?upgrading) with Visible?

As long is the phone is unlocked it shouldn't matter where you buy it, although some cheap brands like Blu and HMD from BB may not work with Visible. Not sure if Walmart offers unlocked phones though, you may have better luck at Best Buy. If you have a pSIM all you need to do is move the card to the new phone. If using eSIM you would need to download the app on the new phone and transfer the eSIM that way. Again, just make sure it is unlocked.
