porting phone number: trial number displays instead of ported number

I recently signed up for visible and before signing up, I did the 15 day trial and I was given a new number which I tried on a Verizon pixel 8a phone. As I was satisfied with the service, I signed up for the service using the eSIM option. The porting of my old phone number into Visible was successful. However, I'm facing a strange issue. When I call or text people, they're seeing my old trial number on their caller ID instead of my actual number. Many then try to text me or call me on the "trial" number but obviously they get a message saying that the number is inactivated.

 

Has anyone else encountered this problem  after porting a number? If so, how did you resolve it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello.  I was just wondering if this phone number problem was wver figured out because I'm having the exact same problem myself?

I am also having this same issue and am going BONKERS Trying to get to a solution. What's weird though is that for me, I am only having the issue with the Trial phone number with NON-iPhone users. So my husband and kids, and anyone else who I talk to that use an iPhone - nothing changed for them. But when a NON-iPhone user texts me (to my ACTUAL number), I receive it it just fine, but when I reply, on their end it opens a new chat from my TRIAL number and they become extremely confused as to what is happening. Meanwhile on my end, my reply is still in the same chat window. This is VERY frustrating.

I am having this same issue - it is so unbearably frustrating! My problem though is only with NON-iphone users. After I switched to visible, as long as I was texting other iPhone users - nothing changed for them on their end. However, when I text NON-iPhone users, they are getting it from my TRIAL number. So they will text me to my ACTUAL number, I receive it and reply back. But when I send my reply, they get it in a new chat conversation from my TRIAL number and don't know who it is. But on my end, everything is still in the same chat conversation as it should be.

Would be nice to find out if this issue can be fixed. It is QUITE annoying to have people constantly asking me if I changed my number and having to explain over and over what is happening. Also - if the trial number that I had was given to someone else - then there could be issues with messages going to wrong person?! I was receiving random text messages for awhile that were clearly half of a conversation and not sure if they were spam trying to get me to reply or if they were someone texting someone that now has the old trial number that I used to have. PLEASE FIX THIS! How do we actually get in touch with someone?! The only thing I don't like about Visible is no customer service.

Some over in the Visible subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/) have suggested that turning off RCS and then turning it back on corrects the problem. See the following link for how to turn off/on. If that works it would suggest an iPhone (iOS) issue.

P.S. The same action (turning RCS off and back on) works for Android users sometimes. Specifically, turn off/on should result in thr proper number being registered with RCS.
