Hey there!
Your iPhone 8 Plus will need to be unlocked for you to activate or use your Visible SIM card. If the device is currently carrier locked you'll receive a "SIM Not Supported" message when the Visible SIM is inserted, and there isn't away to bypass it to utilize the service.
