Pixel 8 not compatible

I purchased an unlocked Pixel 8 US region phone and both the IMEI numbers come back as not compatible through Visible's IMEI checker.  I chatted with support and they could not tell me why it was not compatible other than it might be carrier locked or some phones just don't work with Visible.  I can not believe a Pixel 8 won't work with their network.  I have checked the IMEI numbers with all major US carriers and it shows compatible. I also activated a eSIM from another US carrier on the phone and it works fine so I know it is not carrier locked. Also because it shows as incompatible they would not even send me a Physical SIM to try out.

Visible's IMEI database is simply inaccurate in many cases. The trick to gsietting a physical SIM is to "lie" and select one of the older iPhone models (e.g iPhone 11) which doesn't require entering an IMEI. The select physical SIM.

They'll send out a physical SIM.

More than likely the Pixel 8 will work; however, be aware that if going this route you'd receive no support from Visible unless your actual IMEI shows up in their database.

I'd avoid porting an existing number into Visible until you've verified the Pixel 8 actually works on Visible - use somebody's referral code from the Savings Spot or their posting history to get $20 the 1st month and lessen the blow if it doesn't work. The base plan would be a net cost of $5 but the Visible+ plan might be the better long term gamble at $15 for the first month with referral. 

Alternately use a throw away email address and get the base plan for $5 with a referral code; then use a new email address and referral to go back and get a new physical SIM to get the Visible+ promo pricing. Promo pricing is only available to new customers at this time.

In summary & when using any unofficial IMei workaround, you assume the resonsibility for things not working correctly.
