Free trial

I activated the free trial on a phone that is locked! Shouldn't it have rejected activating the trial? 

 Is it possible to transfer the e-sim to my unlocked phone?

I don't think it would reject it if it is on a Verizon plan. If it is working then no need to transfer. Not sure if the free trial eSIM can be transferred like a regular plan eSIM, those I think can be transferred using the app.
