I want to sign up as new customer. I ordered unlocked back market phone. How do I get a visible sim card? I don't see that anywhere on their site which seems odd.
Also, I see something called esim may be possible and I will try that if I can. Need to read more about it to figure it out.

Go to www.visible.com and click on the help tab there is plenty of instructions on how to sign up.
You need to create an account, select plan, phones need to be compatible by passing the IMEI checker. It has been over 3 1/2 years since I signed up so I am not sure the exact procedure but the help section should cover it.

You have to follow through on the steps, select plan, bring my phone if you have one already, select iOS for iPhone or Android for any other phone, enter the IMEI number from your phone, select your current carrier from the list, click on I want to activate with SIM card. If using a promo code make sure to enter it in the next step and then click checkout and finish the process from their. You will not be charged until the card arrives and you activate the card on your phone.
If your phone does not pass the IMEI checker and says not compatible you won't be able to use Visible with that phone. If you still don't know how to finish the process I would suggest you stick with your current carrier. Visible does not have a phone number to call for customer service so if you need help you need to use chat online or message them on Facebook, Instagram or X.
If you order a card on the base plan it will take up to a week as it is sent by USPS, if you select the Plus plan it will arrive in about 2 business days. Someone needs to be home to sign for the package when it is delivered or it will be returned to Visible after a few attempts.

Thanks for the info. So during the activation steps I order it. Any idea how much their SIM card costs? Would be nice if Visible put all this info on their site.

No, you have to place an order first, ordering and activation are two separate steps and activation can't take place until you receive the SIM card. Please reread what I wrote above in the first paragraph. You have to follow the process of placing an order and following through to the shopping cart and finish checking out. SIM cards are free and are shipped free of charge. When the card arrives you need to then follow the process to activate the SIM. Those steps are outlined in the help section at Visible website. If you need further assistance I suggest going to www.visible.com and clicking the help tab and click on the blue box in the bottom righthand corner, that will open up chat, answer the questions for the chatbot and if at some point you get a dialog box type agent and it replies asking if you want to speak to an agent click yes.
FYI, I am just a customer myself, not a Visible employee or a customer service agent and it has been over 3 1/2 years since I signed up. I don't know the exact process but as I type out the steps above I also acted like I was placing an order for service and went as far as adding a card and a plan to the cart, and can't go any further without actually finishing the process and I certainly don't need a second line.
Again if you need a phone number to call for assistance Visible doesn't have customer support by phone. Also, if you are still have problems figuring out how to order a SIM I don't mean to sound rude but you might want to just stick with your current carrier to you the trouble. Or maybe find a carrier such as Mint, US Mobile or one of the other MVNO's that has phone support or even brick and mortar stores for you to visit to get help.
