I had the same experience going from an older phone with a sim card
(psim) and legacy plan using the party discount. Although I was able to
port over the account/plan to the esim on my new iPhone14 the data would
not work and also SMS was unreliable....
In my case I've transfer to the eSim on an iPhone14Pro and get Voice and
TExt but no data service. The phone will not connect to the internet.
Will lokk into alternate service. My family has been happy on the party
plan but this may be the end for me
