Hello, I have an iPhone 13. I live in a very remote area with little to no cell service at home. I have WiFi, and have turned WiFi calling on. But still, often my inbound and outbound calls do not connect.
I have no problem if I use an app (like Facetime) to call people.
I'm beginning to wonder if calls do not use my Wifi if/when that has low bars; should I turn off "WiFI Assist" on my phone? Or, do I need to completely turn off cellular when I'm home to force it through Wifi? If you have suggestions or have had this problem, I appreciate your help, thanks!

If you have enabled WiFi calling then you can go on Airplane mode (turning off the cellular antenna) and only enable WiFi. So it forces visible to connect only on WiFi.
Since you mention remote area is your WiFi reliable with low latency? If not that could be another reason for your WiFi calling not work.
Do not confuse FaceTime with WiFi Calling. FaceTime is 100% data based call. But WiFi calling is a convenience when there is no cellular signal. Still the Visible backbone is Verizon network for cellular calls.
