How do i use cell phone on cruise ship

I am headed out of the country to a cruise ship. Am I able to use my phone; incoming and outgoing in Costa Rica ?

Oceans don’t have cellular towers, so no definitely not on the cruise ship. Visible + currently only offers international roaming in Mexico and Canada.

Actually some cruise ships do offer Cellular at Sea offerings when in international waters for some carriers; however Visible isn't one of the carriers although Verizon is. It also depends on the actual ship being equipped with the satellite technology needed to make it happen . See the following for some other options:

As noted Visible's international roaming is limited to Mexico and Canada.

Me personally... I'd turn the phone off and enjoy Costa Rica and the cruise 🙂
