Planning on getting an AppleWatch for my kid_Do I need to get her a different plan/phone number?

I am planning on getting my 11 year old an Apple Watch as she is starting Middle School. Other providers offer family plans and things of the sort.

What is the process with Visible? Do I need to buy a distinct plan for her with her own phone number? Will I still be able to monitor her Apple Watch through my phone?

From my understanding the Apple watch is tied to the account or the phone number on the account. To have a separate number for the watch it would require another phone/watch plan. I am on Reddit and it has been mentioned there that you can get stand alone watch plans at Verizon cheap, something like $10, I can't remember what other carriers/MVNO's has a separate or stand alone watch plan.
