Cancelled order, still received phone.

I cancelled my order and was assured it was cancelled. Still received 2 phones instead of one. Dropped the phone from the cancelled order off to be picked up by UPS from a local business using a provided shipping label from Visible. Well, it appears to have been misplaced/stolen from the store before UPS could pick it up. My question is, am I out the money they charged? Could someone use a stolen phone that I assume is locked anyway?

The store you brought it to would need to provide a statement or report from the police department that it was stolen. You would then have to contact Visible customer service, or assurance if you financed, about a refund. If the store won't issue a report than you only option is if you charged it to a credit card to file a charge back but they may need some kind of a report from the drop off location also to know you aren't committing fraud on the credit card.

 

The phone would be locked to Visible and I am not sure how the security thing works with locked phones. I know it can't be activated on another carrier but not if if another person could activate it on Visible if the person knew it was from that carrier. It would never unlock because it would needed to have been activated on your account to become unlocked in 60 days.
