However, lately in the evening I am getting severe disruption while watching YouTube videos for instance. I’ve done a lot of troubleshooting Including reloading my app, restarting my iPad and changing a lot of settings to no avail. I am thinking that I might like to try the visible+ plan since it will have higher speeds and maybe better priority? My concern is that if I try this premium plan and it doesn’t help, can I return to my basic plan that currently includes a five dollar discount? Any help you can provide will be very appreciated.

Good question there, so I hope a savvy user has an answer for you =]

Until then, has anything else changed with your connection?  Is your signal strength the same as before?  I apologize for asking remedial things- it's because I had problems last year due to infrastructure issues.

If you have compadres or family available to compare service with, it could be helpful to take a look.  Doing so clarified my situation, and after installing a cellular signal booster, things returned to normal for me.

If my comment is unhelpful- my apologies, and again, I hope your answer from someone with plan-switching experience arrives soon =]

I’m looking for some one like you / haha / that has used a signal booster.

Can you tell us what brand booster that is effective for you?

Thanks

I've used a couple different makes and models, but currently one from HiBoost is working well (over 4 years now).

I recommend getting out a booster with a return policy, a few years warranty and instructions you can follow.

Depending on your needs, some boosters offer extra features via App and GPlay, but fyi HiBoost's SignalSupervisor app is far from a 5 star rating  lol embarrassingly so really.

Without endorsing a brand or model, I'll recommend tying a booster that's compatible with your network(s) and needs =]  Good luck and if I can help your further-

Since you are on the base plan you are not getting priority data, you basically get what bandwidth is left over when it comes to data speeds. It can help to upgrade since the plus plan has priority data but it still would depend on how congested the towers are in your area of Verizon post paid customers, or I should say other priority customers.

As for your hotspot speeds the plus plan does have 10Mbps speed cap but if you upgrade to the plus and the towers are congested and say the phone is only getting 1 to 2 Mbps if won't matter whether the hotspot is capped at 5Mbps or 10Mbps, you will get what the phones gets if it is less the hotspot limit.

You would need to contact customer service to find out if the promo you have will retain if you change plans. The current 6FOR12 promo allows for changing plans is still retain the promo but most of the past promos you would forfeit the promo when upgrading or downgrading plans.
