You didn't say what country so you would have cell and internet service using the plan while in Canada or Mexico provided you are on the Plus plan. Any other country you would only have internet when connected to someone's wi-fi. Other option is if you have an unlocked phone you can get a temporary SIM card for whatever country you are visiting.
