Trying to buy newphone and start service with existing phone number

I am trying to buy a new phone and start visible service with an existing phone number.  I can't add phone number to my account and when I go to check out It wants me to create a new phone number which I don't want to change phone numbers

I had this same question, and they said that you should just create a new phone number and then transport your phone number when the phone physically arrived. Thats what I did, but be ready for the phone transport process to be slow... I've been trying to activate my phone all day...
