I’ve had this iPhone 13 Pro Max for a few weeks, unlocked, using visible SIM card.
I decided to move to eSim and while the service was actually successful downloading and it’s showing me bars, my data isn’t actually working. No messages, calls, or internet.
what do I do?
tried reinstalling already and it didn’t help

I am having the exact same problem on my iPhone13 pro when I switched from physical SIM to eSIM.
I contacted live agent more than 10 times and all gave me the same solution of re-downloading the eSIM but nothing worked.
Surprisingly when I downloaded the same eSIM on my android phone the data worked perfectly.

Finally it started working on its own after 5 days of no data.😃
I saw a notification for Visible app update available and after updating the app data started working somehow.
Strange! no setting change or re-download of eSIM was required.
