free trail eSim sign up wants to assign a new number

Hi, I looking to transfer from T mobile.

I've registered an account and got the option of a 15 day free trail.

During the signup process for the free trail it wants to assign me with a new phone number. however I want to keep my existing number.

Is the free trial number eSim an additional number for my device. can I transfer my existing number.

Yes, it will assign you a new number for the free trial, that is how the trial works. It will in no way affect your number at T-Mobile as long as you don't let that account lapse or cancel it. In order to use your current number with Visible you would need to start a plan and port your number in which will then close you account at T-Mo. Even porting in from my understanding even that will assign a new temporary number until you can process the port. I have no understanding of the port process since I started a few years ago with a new number.
