I have been trying and trying to create a visible account, buy a phone and service from visible, but my email is continually refused as "invalid", evidently because it has an underscore in it--all the other symbols are letters and numbers. I checked via chat help, and that seems to be the problem. So my question : seriously, do NONE of you visible users have any symbols other than numbers and letters and the one "allowed" period in your email address? NO ONE has an underscore? Does anyone understand the reasoning for this being disallowed?

Just create a free email account (Gmail, outlook, yahoo etc.) with no symbols like janedoe@___.com then replace the email after you have your visible account. Also most email services will let you link email accounts...if you want to create an alias. Good luck ๐ค

Just a caution. Free email accounts are inherently unsafe. YOU are the product and they sell your information. Once you get a free account, think about replacing your email address with something much more private.

Thank you, Moxie! I didn't realize I could change it after membership--that's what annoyed me.

Welcome! You'll have to wait 30 days to change your email address.

I have had an account for over a year and they still do not allow you to have special characters after the @ sign. So Editing your email after you sign up is not a work around. Because of this I have not received any of my invoices for over a year. This requirement turns off a lot of potential new users of your product. Many many people have special characters. Our phone is for an organization and not being able to use our domain name in a false forwarding email is a real problem. Visible fix this. The work around is not a fix.
