AppleCare and Visible protect plan

I am going to purchase a visible iPhone 13, and it gives me the option that I could purchase the visible coverage with it. I am wondering if I do not purchase the visible protection plan, am I still able to purchase the original applecare in "settings" after I activated the iPhone?
