When FedEx attempts to deliver and you are not home they are supposed to leave a door tag, sign that door tag and leave or tape it to the door, they are supposed to attempt at least one more delivery the next day. The signed door tag should be enough for them to leave it in the door. Now whether your FedEx driver will actually follow protocol is another story.
