Voicemail woes on Google Pixel 10

I'm having problems with voicemail. I have a brand new Google Pixel 10 Pro XL and ported my phone number to Visible. The problem is that I get no indication when voicemails are left, otherwise the phone appears to be working fine. I have had 4 (long) chats, 3 voicemail reprovisioning's, 2 password resets and still have 1 phone that doesn't do anything when a voice message is left on my number. In the built-in phone app on my handset, the Voicemail setting is set to "on" for "Visual voicemail", but the message underneath still reads "Activating voicemail". There is a grayed out option to "Change PIN" which has a message below that reads "Visual voicemail is not activated yet, please try later."

I have Forced stopped the Phone app, cleared cache, cleared storage, rebooted the phone and I still get no notification when a voicemail arrives. I've spent hours on chat sessions and would like to either get this fixed or decide to move on. Anybody have any suggestions or insights on how to repair this voicemail issue? During the last chat session, the agent said they were escalating it and then the session disconnected and offered me the opportunity to complete a survey.

Mine has been working off and on with my Pixel 9A. Never had an issue until I bought this phone. 

Below is a link to another topic on this and if you scroll to my last post you can try the solution I mentioned in that post. I haven't had anyone leave a VM in over a month so not sure if mine is working or not. It did last VM left about 4-5 weeks ago. It seemed to work for one message then the next it wouldn't, I would get it activated again it worked for one call then stopped again. Haven't figured out if this is a Visible issue or Pixel issue. There has been recent mention of this happening now on iPhone's and Samsung on Visible's Reddit page, the majority 2-3 months ago were mainly Pixel phones.

   i was hoping this would be fixed with the November, 2025 Pixel update but it wasn't. Still no voicemail notifications or visual voicemail on my Pixel 10.  Moderators, are Visible network engineers working with Google to resolve this issue? Thanks!

Not sure if the moderators here are even in touch with anyone at Visible. On Visible's Reddit page it seems more and more different brand Androids are affected by this so it is likely an issue at Visible or even Verizon since Visible uses their core system. Someone had mentioned on Reddit that having a VPN can cause, I had the VM issue long before I started using the Google VPN that is offered. Last time a VM was left I got nothing as far as notifications so it isn't working again for me. I can seem to get it to work one time then the next it doesn't. If this is an issue on the Visible side I don't think they, or Verizon for that matter, will be fixing it anytime soon. 

Seems like the solution from Visible is to use Google Voice or YouMail and have your VM sent to either of those. Both have free versions. I did try YouMail but then canceled it as I didn't want another number to try and remember or another one to get spam on.

Thanks @DeanKevin64  I'm using Youmail with only my Visible phone number. An additional number on Youmail is optional, but not required

I didn't know you could use the same number from Visible. I thought it needed to be forwarded to a number I chose at YouMail. I am not all that tech savvy and never looked into it too deep and since I don't get much for voicemails I just chose to delete my account their. Hopefully at some point either Visible will fix this issue or if it is actually a Pixel issue maybe Google will. Not sure it goes anywhere but I did leave feedback with Google using the option in about phone.

Your calls do get forwarded to another number with Youmail, but you or your callers never use it. It's just an internal thing. Please post if you hear anything new about Visible - Pixel voicemail notification problem  Thanks!

I misunderstood, I thought you were able to register or use your Visible number at YouMail. Yeah, I did try it, I had to search a couple different area codes just to find an available number their. The odd thing with that is I am in a rural area of my state and thought there would have been more numbers open. But, as I mentioned, I did just cancel it anyway since I rarely get calls and even more rare that I don't answer a call, only if it shows potential spam and I finally don't get them much anymore. 

It seems like it is more of a Visible/Verizon issue than a phone issue or a Pixel issue. Today there was a report on Reddit of a Samsung S21U not getting VM notification so it is affecting other Android phones. There was another post complaining about no visual voicemail for Android but no explanation of the issue but it seemed like a complaint not having transcripts, I have never had transcripts on Android on Motorola, Samsung or the current Pixel in the 4 1/2 years I have been here. Some have said they get it. I really don't care if it is transcribed but would be nice to have it listed on VM though. 

If I read any more about the issue on Visible's Reddit page I will try and post it here in the community forums.
