If you buy a phone outside of visible, i believe you can just transfer the SIM card over, as long as it is an unlocked phone. Be careful of purchasing from a different cellular provider on a deal, as they may lock the phone to their service for a certain amount of time.
I think if you have an esim you download the app via wifi then work on installing an esim, by following the instructions. You may want to check with customer support though before going down this path.
By the way, sorry to hear your phone died, hope you had good backups, I know that can be frustrating and stressful.
