Switching to a new iPhone


I bought a new Apple Watch SE, trading in my Apple Watch 4

Unfortunately, Visible does not have explicit instructions under FAQs for witching to the new watch. So I went on Chat.  After going in circles with Chat, I asked for a phone connection.  I was told to deactivate the existing (old) watch and then wait till my subscription renews before I can connect the new watch.

Is this correct?

Why do I have to wait 13 days till I can fully use my watch?

Why is this process not published?  We could have saved a lot of my time!
