Hello,
Any help would be appreciated. I have been trying to help my fiance switch over to Visible. Everything is fine until he tries to pay. It continuously gives an error for alternative payment. He doesn't have PayPal or Venmo and wants to use his card which he should be able to. I understand he needs to check with the card company to make sure Visible is allowed to charge. But I even tried to use mine which I use on Visible with no problem. Same issue.
I've chatted with 2 reps. One refreshed the page and told me to clear cookies. I did that. Same error.
Second rep: Cleared out the account and said I have to wait for 24 hrs before he can try again.
Can anyone offer any extra help, please?
Thank you!

Update: So after 3 reps today, and going through numerous steps, the last rep told me he got an email that said they were having problems with the payment part of the website. (You would think all the reps would have known that right off the bat.) Anyway, he escalated a ticket for me. I'm supposed to hear from them within 24 to 48 hrs. I'll keep this thread updated in case anyone else has issues.

2nd Update: Iโve spoken to numerous people via twitter, FB and the Visible site. Thereโs been many promises to help and escalate the issue. Nothing at all has been resolved. Iโve tried absolutely everything theyโve asked. He has decided to not switch to Visible due to not receiving satisfactory help and Iโm extremely disappointed in Visible's customer service or lack thereof. I have referred several people but at this point, I will be ceasing my efforts.
All for the simple fact, Visible has no way of simply accepting a payment besides through their website.
Extremely disheartening.

Agree they are losing business and money.

My experience has been nearly identical, except one of the service reps said that my card was being declined because the name was different than the one on the account. (Why do they care who gives them money?) I have wondered if it's because they're overloaded with people purchasing for Chistmas, but none of the three reps I've spoken to has suggested it. And the best part? When I tried, they froze the money for the new phone for several days. So I got no phone, but they got interest on the money they borrowed from me.

Same experience. My wife and I will be switching.

Same situation for us. Mine went through fine, my Wife's kept giving a payment error. Re-installed the app multiple times. 4 reps, "escalated" now DMing on FaceBook and they still cannot take our money. We even got an email stating that our payment method was now on file with Visible??? The programming team is obviously running the cash registers at this business and it is super buggy. Apple Pay, Paypal, 3 credit cards, and 1 debit card are all the same issue. I wonder if their board of directors knows they are losing business by their failures to address payment issues timely.

Same issue for us. Mine went through fine but my wife's kept saying payment issue. 3 credit cards, 1 debit card, Apple Pay, and Paypal all same thing. App was reinstalled 5 times during our conversation with 4 different reps. Now DM'ing techs on FaceBook but keep getting platitudes but still they can't take our money. It is clear that the programmers are in charge of the cash registers here and it is super buggy. I wonder if their board of directors knows they are losing customers due to failure to address billing issues timely.

August 2024 here. I have had same exact problem. I have spent 6 hrs over 2 days trying to fix. Checked bank 2x; no blocks, holds, address issue etc--no issue on bank side. Have used 2 phones. Have uninstalled app several tines. Have used browser instead of app several times. Havw cleared cookies & cache, through app, through browser multiple times. Have contacted online help maybe a dozen times over 6 hours over two days, lots of promises, said cleared etc.And none of this would be an issue if they accepted credit cards over the phone.
I expected better from a Verizon company (had been with Verizon for 7 years, all autopay prepaid.)
My guess is that they have an illegal kickback deal with paypal and/or venmo. So I am filing a complaint with Federal Trade Commission (FTC), maybe my state Attorney General and other agaencies, and every phone plan review site.
Unless it is magically fixed in the next day.

Same here 4 hours later

8/8/22 I tried over a week ago to switch one of my Verizon lines to Visible, impossible for same reason. I waited a week, got a new transfer PIN and attempted to port over again, SAME PROBLEM! How can this company even exist??? I have liked (for most part) Verizon over the years but their pricing has gotten out of hand so want to switch but Visible apparently does not want new customers.

Get PayPal and you can link your card to it !! It works

No it doesn't work to switch to paypal. That was declined also, along with 4 different credit cards.

It supports Google Pay (NFC payment) witih most newer phones, it has nothing to do a carrier. If you used it with other carriers it works with visible too. I've used three devices Galaxy S23, ZFold4, ZFilp5 they all work fine on visible. Remember if you use beta software like from Samsung before it gets official One UI, all secure payments will not work, that probably caused you.
*Do not depend on live chat, it doesn't help, they have no knowledge about it.

Nope, it didn't in Aug 2024

August 2024, same issue. Have spent 6 hrs over 2 days. Talked to numerous online agents, been told there was problem in July but its fixed (its August), other LIES. Have checked bank 2x, no issue with card, address anything. Tried to do it through 2 phones, 2 email addresses, browser, app. Have unistalled & reinstalled app numerous times. Cleared cache, cookies numerous times.
This would not be issue if accepted cards over the phone.
This leaves me to connclude visible has an illegal kickback scheme with paypal and venmo, so will be complaining to ftc, other federal agencies and state attorney general....unless it is magically fixed by tomorrow.
I was with verizon for 7 yrs, thought since visible would be just as good. Also had TMobile which was better than this. Guess back to TMobile.
