I have read through almost all of the forum and did not see our issue. I will try and cliffnote it.
Had a spare Visible phone. Recently ported in husband's old number to it. All works and shows his number EXCEPT when he text messages anyone. It shows old number. No here is the weird part. I can read that text from him BUT I have to text him back on his correct phone number. What in world is going on?
