Can I use my same old phone I already have to open an account? Does my phone have to be paid fully off to open a visible account phone line in my name?

You can open an account without issue. In order to get a SIM for your phone from Visible to use on their network the phone needs to be unlocked. Not sure how the financing part works but if your carrier is financing it they might not unlock it until it is paid off. If financed elsewhere you would still need to make sure the phone isn't locked to the carrier you are currently with. Hope this helps.

Ok thank you my carrier is Verizon but the bill is not in my name

I am not tech savvy and not sure how to check the phone itself to see if it is an unlocked phone or not. Try Googling it to see if it can be checked. I think I read it might say in the settings but you would need to find SIM status, but I am just guessing. You could contact Verizon also and they could tell you if it is unlocked or not and whether it needs to be paid off first.
