Account terminated

I'm trying to just sign up for Visible. I don't need a free trial, I just want to sign up.

Here's my problem: A couple months ago, I tried the free trial and it threw me an error - they couldn't get me started. They told me on support they saw the error.

So, now i'm back to try again, but low and behold they've terminated my account, and they say the only way to sign up for Visible is to *create a new email address* and create a new account.

I use my email for my bank statements, my car payments, my credit card payments, my mother, my business, everything. I do not have a second email and I have no intention of getting one *just because Visible can't activate my account.*

Any way around this or is Visible that inept and stubborn and makes it this hard for a new customer to sign up? I already lost out on a promo price because of the earlier failure, now they're kicking me out of the entire system because *they made a mistake in the first.* It was they're fault, they even told me, and now they won't let me sign up.

I've never known a company to make it so difficult for a customer to buy from them.

Is there ANY way I can reactivate my account or have it deleted so I can re-use my email address?

Thank you!

No. Only suggestion to use that email address is to wait it out until the system deletes it, I am not sure how long that takes, I have read on Visible's Reddit page it could take 2 months, 3 months to possibly a year. I don't know if that information is even listed on the Visible website. The easiest option is to just create a new email address, if it isn't an option then Visible really isn't an option. I don't think customer service even has the option to delete the old account.

That is absolutely flipping unreal. They made the mistake, and I have to make a new email address somewhere just to sign up? It wasn't my problem to begin with, their support person told me it was their system having a problem!

I'm not making a new email address and then logging into multiple accounts just to give them my business. My AT&T account renews the end of this month, and then I'm gone. Not that I'm any great privilege but it's so flipping irritating that they make it this difficult for a new customer.

I'm literally trying to pay them money and be a customer and they're making it as difficult as they possibly can.

Just a customer myself and get the frustration. Visible works great for me but it isn't for everyone. You can try to talk to customer service and see what they can do but don't expect much. It isn't that difficult to create and maintain a new email address, I have 3 myself, one is used for the majority of my online business/purchases, one is personal and the other is just a backup for alternate password recovery.  Wait it out and check in a month or two and see if it is purged from the system but if your plan was to use the current promo it will likely expire first but there will be more promo's offered but I wouldn't expect it to be as good as the current one for the plus plan.

FWIW & dependent upon your email provider, that service may provide the option of establishing an email alias. For example:

  • Outlook allows you to establish up to 10 email aliases.
  • Gmail will ignore any dots added before the "@" sign and treat it just the same as your original email address. You can add dots between words, letters, or numbers to create email aliases. Gmail also provides another "+" sign option but I'd avoid using GMail's  "+" sign method since Visible fails to recognize the "+" sign method as valid email address at last check.

In both cases, email will be delivered to your primary inbox - this is how many get around Visible's one email/one account restriction.

A lot of people on Reddit were using a period in the address in the name before the "@" but reported this stopped working on Visible using a Gmail address. Not sure if it would be the same with the "+" sign. Not sure if it only worked with Gmail in the past. In the last year there have been a few posts that special characters in the address would error out but can't remember if that was before at or after at in the address.
